Brown & Lewis Parcels

Located off of East Street and include the large field and extensive swamp to the east.  The field is in active cultivation under a lease agreement with the town.  Trail fragments are present within the site and may be expanded in the future.  Park adjacent to 207 East Street near the power lines.  Look for the blue signs.

Curtiss Property

Details & Maps

Located on the east side of South End Road just past the Curtiss Family farm stand.  The site offers a large field and shallow pond skirted by briar thickets suitable for bird watching.  An established trail lies within the property.  Look for the blue open space signs and park adjacent along the roadway.

Korin Property

Details & Maps

Located off of East Street and is accessible through Copper Ridge Road at the end of the cul-de-sac. Camp Sloper also offers an access at the Memorial Forest Lot following the yellow trail.  The site has significant topographic relief and has a well established trail.  This area is great for wildlife observation and quiet daytime hiking.

Marion Avenue Property

Details & Maps

Located on Marion Avenue south of Meriden Waterbury Turnpike.  This site is primarily thick brush with a brook bisecting it.  No formal trails are present; however, the site is an important addition to the inventory due to its habitat values and wetland resources.  Roadside parking is available adjacent to blue signs.

Holmquist Parcel

Details & Maps

Located on Kensington Road, just up from the corner of East Street.  Classic Southington resources - field, wetlands, ledge and woodlands are all found here.  Roadside parking is available adjacent to the blue signs.

Novick Property

Details & Maps

Located off of Flanders Road in the eastern part of town.  This large tract is accessible from Flanders Road and offers significant views of the
valley below.  Trails are present within the parcel and water features include Patton Brook and associated wetlands.  The site includes a former orchard and offers great diversity in habitat.  Parking is allowed in the field.

Goat Island Parcel

Located at the north end of East Summer Street directly adjacent to the linear walking trail.  Ample parking is available, as is access to the Quinnipiac River.  Follow the paved drive to parking area.

Crescent Lake Property

Details & Maps

Located on Shuttle Meadow Road in the northeastern part of town.  Ample parking is available and established trails run through the site.  The property offers fishing, canoeing, picnicking and hiking.

Griffin Parcel

Details & Maps

Located on Laning Street at the sharp curve.  The parcel offers a large open field and undisturbed forest.  Parking is available adjacent to the guard rail at the curve.  Look for the blue signs.
