Senior Transportation

Southington Calendar House

The Senior Center transportation program (Dial-A-Ride) may be used by Southington residents aged 55 and older; or disabled Southington residents, 18 or over, as defined by Social Security standards, who do not drive their own vehicles or who do not have alternative transportation. United Way of Southington
The United Way of Southington and The Main Street Community Foundation have partnered to offer a rideshare program for Southington seniors through Senior Transportation Services, Inc. Southington senior residents can utilize this transportation service to attend local area medical appointments. Senior residents can also use this service to visit pharmacies, care facilities to meet with “loved ones”, banks, and hairdressers/barbers. Senior Transportation Services, Inc.
The mission of Senior Transportation Services [STS] is to assist older residents of Berlin, Meriden, New Britain, Plainville, Southington and Wallingford, ages 55 and over, to live independently in their own homes. STS Volunteer Drivers provide curb to curb, safe, reliable and economical medical transportation to out of town appointments, pharmacy and care facilities to visit loved ones.
